A random thing to do in the middle of the night
I was bored and decided to re-read some random pages of Lord of the Rings, book one. And I’m still fascinated by the author’s (J.R.R. Tolkien) writing style. True, I sometimes get confused for there are too many songs or poets in the book, but it’s still beautifully described.
This is one of the poet written :
“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken:
The crownless again shall be king.”
And this is some part of a song written :
“A king he was on carven throne
In many-pillared halls of stone
With golden roof and silver floor,
And runes of power upon the door.
The light of sun and star and moon
In shining lamps of crystal hewn
Undimmed by cloud or shade of night
There shone for ever fair and bright.”
I was so random, I know :P
